The Lords of the Aegean Elves do not ride to war on horses. They ride on Phoenixes — ancient, immortal creatures of elemental fire or elemental ice, bound to the great noble houses of the Aegean coast by oaths older than any living memory. The Fire Phoenix burns. The Ice Phoenix freezes. Both are equally fatal, and both carry their riders into battle with a fury that no earthbound cavalry can match or outrun.
