Then the shape of it, emerging from the darkness: a great black coach, drawn by horses that are not entirely horses anymore, carrying something inside that is not entirely anything anymore. The Spectral Coach is the Count's most terrible conveyance — a rolling vessel of dark magic that grows more powerful with every soul it passes, crackling with spectral energy, trailing the screaming remnants of those it has already claimed. Armies have broken at the sight of it. Generals have fled. The coach does not notice. It simply rolls on.
