Norse Tribes Huscarls on Foot with Hand Weapons and Shields | Norse Tribes Army Collection | Highland Miniatures

Oath-Sworn and Shield to Shield, They Are the Wall the Jarl Built

When the war horns sound across the fjord and the raiders' longships scrape onto the shingle, it is the Huscarls who form up first. Hand-picked by their chieftain and bound by an oath older than most of their scars, they lock painted linden shields rim to rim, axe and blade held low and ready behind the wall.

Every saga of a hard-won battle has them at its heart: the household guard who held the ford, who stood firm while the clan's lesser warriors broke, who answered every charge with the crash of shield and the bite of steel. Field them as the unbreakable core of your Norse Tribes warband, the line your enemies must shatter before they can ever reach your Jarl.
