The Steppe Goblin Warboss did not rise to power through noble lineage or tactical brilliance. He rose to power through a combination of low cunning, high aggression, and an almost supernatural ability to be standing somewhere else when things go badly wrong. He leads from the front — occasionally — and from somewhere considerably safer the rest of the time. His warband follows him not out of loyalty, but because whoever doesn't follow him tends to regret it shortly afterwards.
